EDC, Inc. developed this two-year project jointly with the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians (CTSI). Goals of the project focus on maintaining, improving, and increasing healthy wetland ecosystems through protection and restoration. During this project EDC, Inc. reviewed existing geospatial data and working closely with CTSI, developed a series of spatial models. Criteria were developed the Tribe using traditional ecological knowledge. Areas of interest were associated with valued natural resources, favorable landscape settings, and a measure of access by CTSI Tribal members.
